Apple sauce Nut bread
2 cups flour 1/2 tsp soad
3/4 cup sugar 1/2 tsp cinnamon
3 tsp baking powder 1 cup walnuts
1 tsp salt 1 egg beaten
1 cup apple sauce 2 Tbsp melted shortening
Sift dry ingredients together. Add Walnuts.
In mixing bowl beat egg, Add apple sauce
& melted shortening. Add dry ingredients &
stir just until blended. Bake in mod. oven 350°
about 50 min.

- 1/2 tsp soda
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon

2/3 C. water
Add: 3 1/3 C. flour
1/2 tsp baking powder

1 1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp cloves
Add:
2/3 C. chopped nuts
2/3 C. raisins or chopped dates if desired.
Bake at 350' for 1 hr.

## Ingredients
- 2 2/3 cups sugar
- 4 eggs, beaten
- 2/3 cup shortening
- 2 cups canned pumpkin
- 2/3 cup water
- 3 1/3 cups flour
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 2 tsp baking soda
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp cloves
- 2/3 cup chopped nuts
- 2/3 cup raisins or chopped dates (if desired)
## Instructions
1. Mix together sugar, beaten eggs, shortening, canned pumpkin, and water.
2. Add flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and cloves. Mix to combine.
3. Add chopped nuts and raisins or chopped dates if desired.
4. Bake at 350°F for 1 hour. -

1/2 c. chopped pecans 1 tsp cinnamon 6 T. Brown sugar
Cream together
2c sugar 1c. oleo add 2 eggs
1 cup sour cream (commercial cream)
1 tsp vanilla Sift 2 cups flour 1/4 tsp salt
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
Pour 1/2 batter in pan, sprinkle on half of
topping, add rest of batter, top with
rest of topping Bake 325° 45 min or
until done.

# Sour Cream Coffee Cake
## Topping
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 6 Tbsp brown sugar
## Ingredients
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup oleo
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup sour cream (commercial cream)
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 cups flour, sifted
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
## Instructions
1. Make topping in advance: combine chopped pecans, cinnamon, and brown sugar. Set aside.
2. Cream together sugar and oleo.
3. Add 2 eggs and mix well.
4. Add sour cream and vanilla.
5. Sift together flour, salt, and baking powder; combine with creamed mixture.
6. Pour half of batter into pan.
7. Sprinkle half of topping over batter.
8. Add remaining batter.
9. Top with remaining topping.
10. Bake at 325° for 45 minutes or until done. -

1 large Tang
2 cups sugar (I omit this)
2/3 cups Instant Tea
2 teas cinnamon
1 teas cloves
1 pkg lemonade mix
Mix all ingredients in a large bowl.
For serving - use 2 heaping teas per cup
boiling water - same for iced tea

- 2/3 cup instant tea
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp cloves
- 1 pkg lemonade mix

1. Mix all ingredients in a large bowl.
2. Store in jars with tight lids.
3. For serving, use 2 heaping tsp per cup of boiling water. Same ratio for iced tea. -

## Ingredients
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup shortening
- 3 1/2 cups flour
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 cup chopped nuts
- 3 eggs
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 level tsp baking soda
## Instructions
1. Mix sugar and shortening with hand like pie crust.
2. Add eggs and sifted dry ingredients and nuts.
3. Form into rolls and put in the ice box (refrigerator) for a few hours.
4. Slice and bake in a 350° oven for 10 or 12 minutes. -

## Ingredients
- 2 pkgs frozen strawberries, thawed & drained
- 4 eggs
- 1 1/4 cups vegetable oil
- 3 cups flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 3 tsp cinnamon
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 1/4 cups pecans
## Instructions
1. Mix strawberries, eggs, and oil together.
2. Blend in dry ingredients.
3. Pour into 2 pans.
4. Bake at 350° for 1 hour. -

1 yellow cake mix
1 pkg. Instant Pudding (Vanilla)
4 eggs
1/2 c. oil
2 t. vanilla
1 C (8oz) sour cream

# Jewish Coffee Cake
## Ingredients
- 1 yellow cake mix
- 1 pkg instant pudding (vanilla)
- 4 eggs
- 1/2 cup oil
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 1 cup (8 oz) sour cream
## Topping / Filling
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp cocoa
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts
(I prefer to double this for more filling)
## Instructions
1. Mix together all topping/filling ingredients and set aside.
2. Combine all cake ingredients and beat until very thick and smooth.
3. Pour 1/2 of the batter into a greased tube pan or 10" springform pan.
4. Sprinkle with a little more than 1/2 of the filling.
5. Pour on the rest of the batter and sprinkle with the rest of the topping.
6. Bake at 350°F — 50–55 minutes for a tube pan, 60–65 minutes for a springform pan.
7. Use a toothpick to test for doneness. -

## Ingredients
- 1 stick butter (1/2 cup)
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup cream
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 pinch salt
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups flour
## Topping
- 1/2 cup pecans
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
## Instructions
1. Mix together butter, sugar, cream, baking soda, salt, eggs, and flour.
2. Pour into pan.
3. Top with pecans, brown sugar, and cinnamon. -

1 can Comstock sliced apples
If in hunks, cut smaller.
Back:
Put oleo or butter in baking pan 9X13X2
and melt in slow oven.
Let oleo cool slightly, then pour over
beaten eggs and apples.
Add the sifted dry ingredients.
Bake 325 degrees 45 to 60 mins.
Test with cake taster
makes 12 servings
Bake in same pan you melt
the butter in.
Serve with whipped Cream

## Ingredients (Partially Inferred)
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 tsp baking soda
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 2 whole eggs, beaten
- 1 stick oleo or butter
- 1 can Comstock sliced apples (cut smaller if in hunks)
Note: Use canned, sliced apples in water, not apple pie filling which will add too much sugar.
## Instructions
1. Sift together flour, sugar, baking soda, and cinnamon; set aside.
2. Place oleo or butter in a 9x13x2 baking pan and melt in a slow oven.
3. Let oleo cool slightly, then pour over beaten eggs and apples.
4. Add the sifted dry ingredients and mix.
5. Bake in the same pan you melted the butter in at 325 degrees for 45 to 60 minutes.
6. Test with cake tester.
7. Makes 12 servings. Serve with whipped cream. -

1. Combine tomato pulp, sugar, lemon slices, and cinnamon stick.

3. Cream shortening, add sugar, beat in eggs.
4. Stir in raisins with liquid and vanilla.
5. Gradually add flour mixture, blending thoroughly after each addition.
6. Stir in nuts.
7. Drop by tablespoon about 2 inches apart on greased baking sheet.
8. Bake at 375° for 12–15 minutes.
