1½ cups Log Cabin Syrup
¼ cup (½ stick) margarine
¼ cup sugar
1½ cups pecan halves
1 unbaked 9-inch pie shell
3 eggs, slightly beaten
1 teaspoon of vanilla
Dash of salt
Heat oven to 375 degrees.
Combine syrup, margarine and sugar in sauce-
pan. Bring to boil; boil gently 5 minutes, un-
covered, stirring occasionally. Cool slightly.
Card 1 Back:
Place pecans in pie shell. Mix eggs, vanilla,
and salt in bowl. Gradually stir in cooled
syrup mixture. Pour over pecans in pie shell.
Bake 35-40 minutes or until knife inserted
near center comes out clean. Cool on wire
rack.
Makes 8 servings.

Griddle Cakes
1/4 tsp. salt.
1 cup sifted flour 3/4 cup milk
1 teasp. Calumet 1 egg.
1 1/2 tbls. shortening.
mix dry ingredients combine milk egg & stir
until smooth add shortening. bake on hot
well greased griddle. Serve hot with butter
and Log Cabin syrup. Makes 12 g. cakes

- 1/4 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 1 1/2 Tbsp shortening
## Instructions
1. Mix dry ingredients.
2. Combine milk and egg and stir until smooth.
3. Add shortening.
4. Bake on a hot, well-greased griddle.
5. Serve hot with butter and Log Cabin syrup.
