## Ingredients
- 1 pound link sausages
- 4 apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 3 Tbsp sausage fat (reserved from cooking)
## Instructions
1. Prick the skin of sausages. Place on a rack in a broiler pan. Cook until done, about 12 minutes.
2. Sprinkle sliced apples with sugar and cinnamon mixed.
3. Fry apples in 3 Tbsp sausage fat until apples are golden.
4. Serve sausage in center of platter. Pile sautéed apples in a ring around them. -

3 tablespoons butter 1 1⁄3 cups sifted Pillsbury's BEST Flour
2⁄3 cup firmly packed brown sugar 2 teaspoons double-acting baking powder
3 cups (about 3 medium) pared, 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
thinly sliced apples 1⁄4 cup sugar
1⁄3 cup raisins 2⁄3 cup firmly packed brown sugar
Melt butter in heavy skillet measuring 10 inches across top.
Remove from heat; add 2⁄3 cup brown sugar. Arrange apples
in skillet; add raisins.
Sift flour, baking powder and salt. Set aside. Add sugar
and 2⁄3 cup brown sugar gradually to shortening, creaming
well. Blend in egg yolks and vanilla; beat well. Add dry
ingredients alternately with milk; blend thoroughly after
each addition.
Beat egg whites until stiff but not dry; fold into batter.
Pour over apples. Bake in moderate oven (350°) 55 to
minutes. Turn out of skillet immediately. Serve warm.

## Ingredients
- 3 Tbsp butter
- 2/3 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 3 cups (about 3 medium) pared, thinly sliced apples
- 1/3 cup raisins
- 1/3 cup Crisco
- 2 unbeaten egg yolks
- 1 tsp French's Vanilla
- 2/3 cup undiluted Pet Milk
- 2 egg whites
- 1 1/3 cups sifted Pillsbury's BEST Flour
- 2 tsp double-acting baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2/3 cup firmly packed brown sugar
## Instructions
1. Melt butter in a heavy skillet measuring 10 inches across the top.
2. Remove from heat; add 2/3 cup brown sugar. Arrange apples in skillet; add raisins.
3. Sift flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.

Pork Chops with Apple Cream Sauce
Pork Chops with Apple Cream Sauce
1 tablespoon olive oil
4 center-cut loin pork chops, cut 1 inch thick and patted dry
3 large cloves of garlic, minced
Freshly ground black pepper
1 tablespoon butter or olive oil
3 apples (Golden Delicious, Empire, Braeburn, Gala), cored, peeled
and sliced 1½ inches thick
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1½ teaspoons ground mace
Back:
1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
1/8 teaspoon ground ginger
½ cup light cream or sour cream thinned with a drop of milk
¼ cup apple juice or cider
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add pork chops
and garlic, sprinkle with pepper to taste and brown for two minutes
on each side. Remove chops and place on a plate.
Discard any fat in the skillet and heat the butter over medium heat.
Add apple slices; sprinkle with sugar, mace, cloves and ginger. Saute
about five minutes or until soft and golden.
Add cream and apple juice to skillet. In three to five minutes, or
when the mixture begins to bubble, return pork chops to skillet. Re-
duce heat to low, cover and simmer 15 minutes or until chops are ten-
der when pierced with a fork.
Remove the chops to a serving dish and cover with the sauce.
Makes four servings.

# Applesauce Cake
## Ingredients
- 2 cups chopped apples
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 cup nuts
- 1/2 cup oil
- vanilla
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
## Instructions
1. Combine chopped apples and sugar; let sit for 30 minutes.
2. Add egg, oil, and vanilla to the apple mixture and stir to combine.
3. Mix in nuts.
4. Combine flour, baking soda, salt, nutmeg, and cinnamon; add to wet ingredients and mix until combined.
5. Pour into a loaf pan.
6. Bake at 325°F for 1 hour 15 minutes. -

1 stick oleo or butter
1 can Comstock sliced apples
If in hunks, cut smaller.
Back:
Put oleo or butter in baking pan 9X13X2
and melt in slow oven.
Let oleo cool slightly, then pour over
beaten eggs and apples.
Add the sifted dry ingredients.
Bake 325 degrees 45 to 60 mins.
Test with cake taster
makes 12 servings
Bake in same pan you melt
the butter in.
Serve with whipped Cream

## Ingredients (Partially Inferred)
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 tsp baking soda
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 2 whole eggs, beaten
- 1 stick oleo or butter
- 1 can Comstock sliced apples (cut smaller if in hunks)
Note: Use canned, sliced apples in water, not apple pie filling which will add too much sugar.
## Instructions
1. Sift together flour, sugar, baking soda, and cinnamon; set aside.
2. Place oleo or butter in a 9x13x2 baking pan and melt in a slow oven.
3. Let oleo cool slightly, then pour over beaten eggs and apples.
4. Add the sifted dry ingredients and mix.
5. Bake in the same pan you melted the butter in at 325 degrees for 45 to 60 minutes.
6. Test with cake tester.
7. Makes 12 servings. Serve with whipped cream. -

1 cup butter
1 ½ cups white sugar
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 12oz. can of Mt. Dew
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Grease 9X13 baking dish.
Cut each apple into 8 slices.
separate crescent rolls, and roll each apple wedge in crescent roll dough starting with the smallest edge.
Pinch to seal and place in baking dish.
Melt butter in a small sauce pan. Stir in sugar and cinnamon.
Pour mixture over apple dumplings.
Pour Mt. Dew over the dumplings.
Bake 35-45 minutes in a preheated oven or until golden brown.
(When they come out of the oven it will be a runny consistency on the bottom of the pan, but I just usually let them sit for several hours to soak the liquid up into the dumplings before eating.) Enjoy!!!
