Basic Spam Loaf
Card 1 Front:
BASIC SPAM LOAF THE TAMPA TRIBUNE
2 cans (12 oz.) Spam
ground
1½ c. quick rolled oats,
or fresh bread crumbs
2 eggs, beaten
2 T. brown sugar
½ c. ketchup
½ c. pineapple
juice or other
Salt and Pepper
1 package ham
flavoring
Place Spam and oats in a large bowl. Mix re-
maining ingredients in a separate bowl, then
pour into bowl with Spam and mix well. Spoon
into a greased loaf pan. Bake in a preheated
350 degree oven 45-50 minutes. Remove and
let rest 5 minutes for better slicing.
Serves 4-6. (OVER)

*****NOTE: You can add grate vegetables such
as carrots or onions (1½ cup each). And sub-
stitute salsa for ketchup, in which case re-
place pineapple juice with tomato juice or V-8.
Incidentally, a few scraps of leftover cheese
won't go amiss.

## Ingredients
- 2 cans (12 oz.) Spam, ground
- 1 1/2 cups quick rolled oats, or fresh bread crumbs
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 2 Tbsp brown sugar
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/2 cup pineapple juice or other
- Salt and pepper
- 1 package ham flavoring
## Instructions
1. Place Spam and oats in a large bowl.
2. Mix remaining ingredients in a separate bowl, then pour into bowl with Spam and mix well.
3. Spoon into a greased loaf pan.
4. Bake in a preheated 350°F oven 45–50 minutes.
5. Remove and let rest 5 minutes for better slicing.
## Editor's Notes
- **Optional variations noted on back of card:** (1) Add 1 1/2 cups each of grated carrots or onions; (2) substitute salsa for ketchup, replacing pineapple juice with tomato juice or V-8; (3) add leftover cheese scraps. -
Meat Loaf
MEAT LOAF SANDI PATTI
3 pounds ground beef
1 small grape nuts (small box cereal)
½ cup onion, chopped
2 eggs, beaten
1 cup light pancake syrup
1 cup ketchup
2 tablespoons mustard
garlic and pepper to taste
Pour ½ of glaze into meat. Put meat into an
iron skillet. Poke a couple of holes and
spread glaze over the top. Bake for 1½-2
hours in oven.

# Meat Loaf
*Recipe from the kitchen of Sandi Patti*
## Ingredients
- 3 pounds ground beef
- 1 small box Grape Nuts cereal
- 1/2 cup onion, chopped
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup light pancake syrup
- 1 cup ketchup
- 2 Tbsp mustard
- Garlic and pepper to taste
## Instructions
1. Combine the pancake syrup, ketchup, and mustard to make the glaze.
2. Pour half of the glaze into the meat mixture along with the Grape Nuts, onion, eggs, and garlic and pepper to taste. Mix to combine.
3. Place the meat mixture into an iron skillet.
4. Poke a couple of holes in the top of the meat loaf.
5. Spread the remaining glaze over the top.
6. Bake at 350°F for 1 1/2 to 2 hours in oven. -
3 Bean Dish
3 Bean Dish
3 large cans of Bushes Baked Beans
2 cans of Lima Beans drained
2 cans of Butter Beans (do not drain)
(may substitute other beans for Lima Beans or Butter Beans)
1 lb of ground beef browned with 1 chopped onion
Place the above ingredients into a crock pot and then add:
1/2 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup ketchup
2 tablespoons vinegar
2 tablespoons mustard
2 tablespoons soy sauce
Cook in crock pot on high for 1 hour or low for 2 hours
May cook on stove top (heat till warm)
Serves 15
(may cut recipe ingredients in half for smaller serving size)

# 3 Bean Dish
## Ingredients
- 3 large cans Bush's Baked Beans
- 2 cans Lima Beans, drained
- 2 cans Butter Beans, do not drain (may substitute other beans for Lima Beans or Butter Beans)
- 1 lb ground beef, browned with 1 chopped onion
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 3/4 cup ketchup
- 2 Tbsp vinegar
- 2 Tbsp mustard
- 2 Tbsp soy sauce
## Instructions
1. Place the baked beans, lima beans, butter beans, and browned ground beef with onion into a crock pot.
2. Add the brown sugar, ketchup, vinegar, mustard, and soy sauce.
3. Cook on high for 1 hour or low for 2 hours. May also cook on stove top, heating until warm.
4. Serves 15. May cut recipe ingredients in half for a smaller serving size.
