Slow Cooker Easy Chicken with Noodles
SLOW COOKER EASY
CHICKEN WITH NOODLES
1 chicken (2½ to 3 pounds), cut in serving pieces
1 (10¾-ounce) can condensed cream of chicken
soup
1 medium onion, chopped
1½ teaspoons paprika
¼ teaspoon marjoram
Dash pepper
2 tablespoons flour
3 tablespoons cold water
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 (16-ounce) can cut green beans, drained
8 ounces medium egg noodles
1 tablespoon salt
3 quarts boiling water
Place chicken in slow cooker. Combine soup, onion,
paprika, marjoram and pepper. Pour over chicken. Cover
and cook on low setting 4½ hours. Stir together flour
and cold water until smooth; mix into liquids in pot with
lemon juice. Add green beans. Cover and cook 30 minutes
longer.
Meanwhile, gradually add noodles and salt to rapidly
boiling water so that water continues to boil. Cook un-
covered stirring occasionally, until tender. Drain in co-
lander. Place noodles in serving dish. Pour chicken mix-
ture over noodles. Yields 4 servings.
To cook conventionally: Cook chicken in large pot or
Dutch oven with ingredients as above. Simmer, covered,
35 to 45 minutes or until chicken is tender. Add green
beans for last 5 minutes of cooking time.

2. Simmer, covered, 35 to 45 minutes or until chicken is tender.
3. Add green beans for last 5 minutes of cooking time.
4. Cook and drain noodles as directed above; serve chicken mixture over noodles. -

Cook 2 Boxes frozen french style green beans 5 min in Salt water
Drain & put in shallow 2 qt casserole in alternate layers with
1 - 19 oz Can bean sprouts
1 - 8 oz Can diced Water Chestnuts
1/2 cup parmeson Cheese.
Pour over Sauce:
4 TBSP butter } smooth & add 1/4 tsp pepper
2 Tbsp flour } 1/4 tsp Worcestershire
1 pt cream or canned milk
Toast 1 c finely Chopped almonds in 2 Tbsp butter. Sprinkle
over top - Bake 15-20 min @ 425°F Serves 5

# Buffet Green Beans
## Ingredients
- 2 boxes frozen french style green beans
- 1 (19 oz) can bean sprouts
- 1 (8 oz) can diced water chestnuts
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
## Sauce
- 4 Tbsp butter
- 2 Tbsp flour
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1/4 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 pt cream or canned milk
## Topping
- 1 cup finely chopped almonds
- 2 Tbsp butter
## Instructions
1. Cook 2 boxes frozen french style green beans 5 minutes in salted water.
2. Drain and put in a shallow 2 qt casserole in alternate layers with the bean sprouts, diced water chestnuts, and Parmesan cheese.
3. Make the sauce: blend 4 Tbsp butter and 2 Tbsp flour until smooth, then add 1/4 tsp pepper, 1/4 tsp Worcestershire sauce, and 1 pt cream or canned milk.
4. Pour sauce over the layered casserole.
5. Toast 1 cup finely chopped almonds in 2 Tbsp butter. Sprinkle over top.
6. Bake 15–20 minutes at 425°F. Serves 5. -

GREEN BEAN STUFFED PEPPERS
2 small green peppers
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
1 small onion, sliced
2 tomatoes
1/4 teaspoon oregano
1 1/2 cups thawed frozen cut green
beans (one 9-ounce package)
Salt
Slice tops from peppers below crown
and remove seeds. Chop tops of peppers.
Drop peppers into boiling salted water
and parboil for 5 minutes. Drain.
In a skillet, heat butter and saute onion
and chopped green pepper for 5 minutes.
Chop one of the tomatoes and add to the
skillet. Stir in the oregano, green beans
and salt to taste.
Place peppers side by side into a 1 1/2-
pint ovenproof casserole. Fill peppers
with green bean mixture. Cover and bake
at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes. Serve
garnished with remaining tomato cut into
slices. Serves 2.

green beans, chop fresh mint, and
cut cherry tomatoes in half. Toss it
all together with a lemony dressing
and top with crumbled feta cheese.

COOK about 10 minutes
MAKES 6 accompaniment servings

1 pound green beans, stem ends
trimmed
3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
1 can (15 to 19 ounces) white kidney
beans (cannellini), rinsed and drained
3 cups red and yellow cherry tomatoes,
each cut in half
¼ cup loosely packed fresh mint leaves,
coarsely chopped
4 ounces feta cheese, crumbled (1 cup)

1. In 12-inch skillet, heat ½ inch wa-
ter and ½ teaspoon salt to boiling
over high heat. Add green beans;
heat to boiling. Reduce heat to medi-
um-low; simmer, uncovered, 5 to 7
minutes or until beans are tender-

cold running water to stop cooking.
Drain again; set aside.
2. In large serving bowl, with wire
whisk or fork, mix oil, lemon juice,
pepper, and ½ teaspoon salt. Stir in
kidney beans, tomatoes, mint leaves,
and green beans, and toss gently to

- 1 pound green beans, stem ends trimmed
- 3 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 2 Tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
- 1 can (15 to 19 ounces) white kidney beans (cannellini), rinsed and drained
- 3 cups red and yellow cherry tomatoes, each cut in half
- 1/4 cup loosely packed fresh mint leaves, coarsely chopped
- 4 ounces feta cheese, crumbled (1 cup)
## Instructions
1. In a 12-inch skillet, heat 1/2 inch water and 1/2 tsp salt to boiling over high heat. Add green beans; heat to boiling. ¼ teaspoon dried thyme
⅛ teaspoon ground black pepper
1. In 5- to 6-quart saucepot, heat
3 quarts water to boiling. Add green
beans and cook 10 minutes or until
tender. Drain beans; return to
saucepot.
2. Meanwhile, in nonstick 12-inch
skillet, heat oil over medium heat
until hot. Add onions and cook,
covered, 20 minutes or until tender
and golden, stirring occasionally.
Transfer onions to small bowl; set
aside.
