Low-Fat Chocolate Chip Cookies
Card 1 Front:
LOW-FAT CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES TAMPA TRIBUNE
1 cup prune puree or prepared prune butter
3/4 cup granulated sugar 2¼ cups flour
3/4 cup packed brown sugar 1 tsp. baking soda
3 large egg whites 1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla 2 cups (12 ounces)

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Coat baking
sheet with vegetable cooking spray; set aside.
In a large bowl, beat prune puree or butter,
sugars, egg whites and vanilla to blend thorou-
gly.

In a small bowl, mix flour, baking soda, and
salt. Stir dry ingredients into prune mixture.
Mix completely. Stir in chocolate pieces.
Drop tablespoonful onto prepared baking sheets;
flatten slightly. Bake about 10 minutes until
lightly browned around the edges. Remove to
racks to cool completely.
Makes about 60 (2¼-inch) cookies.

## Ingredients
- 1 cup prune puree or prepared prune butter
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 3 large egg whites
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 1/4 cups flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt

## Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Coat baking sheet with vegetable cooking spray; set aside.

CHOCOLATE FUDGE (Cooking Time: 11-14 min.)
3 c. sugar
½ c. butter or margarine
1 can (5.3 oz.) evap. milk
2 c. (12 oz.) semisweet chocolate pieces
1 jar (7 oz.) marshmallow creme
1 c. chopped nuts
1 tsp. vanilla
Lightly butter a 13" x 9" baking dish. Combine
sugar, butter and milk into 2 qt. micro-proof bowl.
Cook on high 11-14 min., or until a small amount
dropped in cold water forms a soft ball
(234 D.) on microwave candy thermometer.

Stir in chocolate pieces and marshmallow creme
until mixture is thoroughly blended. Stir in nuts
and vanilla. Pour into prepared pan. Refrigerate
until firm. Cut into squares.
Yield: 3 pounds

- 1 can (5.3 oz.) evaporated milk
- 2 cups (12 oz.) semisweet chocolate pieces
- 1 jar (7 oz.) marshmallow creme
- 1 cup chopped nuts
- 1 tsp vanilla
## Instructions
1. Lightly butter a 13" x 9" baking dish.
2. Combine sugar, butter, and milk in a 2 qt. microwave-proof bowl.
3. Cook on high 11–14 minutes, or until a small amount dropped in cold water forms a soft ball (234°F on a microwave candy thermometer).
4. Stir in chocolate pieces and marshmallow creme until mixture is thoroughly blended.
5. Stir in nuts and vanilla.
6. Pour into prepared pan.
7. Refrigerate until firm.
8. Cut into squares. -

½ c.brown sugar (packed) 1 pkg.(6 oz.) semi sw.
1 egg chocolate pieces
1 teas. vanilla
Heat oven to 375°.Mix shortening,butter,sugars,egg
and vanilla thoroughly. Stir in remaining ingredients
Spread in ungreased obling pan.13 x 9 x 2 inches.
bake 20-25 minutes. Cool; cut into bars,about 3 x 1.

1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
1 cup pecans - chopped
1 6 oz. package semi-sweet choc. pieces
1 large can sweetened condensed milk
Preheat oven 350. Grease 8 inch square
pans. In mixing bowl mix butter
with crumbs. Press into bottom
Back:
of pan. Spread condensed milk
over crumbs. Top with cocoanut
and then with nuts. Sprinkle
chocolate pieces on top.
Bake 40 mins.
Cool in pan and cut in
squares.

- 1 (3 1/2 oz.) can flaked coconut
- 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1 cup pecans, chopped
- 1 (6 oz.) package semi-sweet chocolate pieces
- 1 large can sweetened condensed milk
## Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
2. Grease 8-inch square pan.
3. In mixing bowl, mix butter with graham cracker crumbs.
4. Press crumb mixture into bottom of pan.
5. Spread condensed milk over crumbs.
6. Top with coconut and then with nuts.
7. Sprinkle chocolate pieces on top.
8. Bake 40 minutes.
9. Cool in pan and cut in squares.
